If we are supposed to have
a meeting at the park and it is raining, or the ground is sopping wet because it's been raining all day, we will meet at Chestnut
Hill UMC instead.

"Scouting exposes young men to people and experiences that encourage and nurture positive moral values. But we mustn't
take Scouting for granted. You can do nothing more important for young people today than to continue, or begin, your support
of Scouting. I have never met anyone with devoted Scouting experience who was not a solid citizen, a loyal friend, and a patriot.
We need more of them."
Wallace G. Wilkinson, former governor of Kentucky
Pack 96 is sponsored by Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church.
We are very fortunate to have their support and assistance.
BREAKING
NEWS
Chestnut Hill UMC has voted to sponsor a Boy Scout
pack as well as a Cub Scout pack. If you know of any boy age 11 or older wishing to join scouting, please email beckythemom@hotmail.com ASAP in order to get the registration process started at once.
HELP WANTED
Pack 96 is looking for a parent who would like
to assist with the website. Anyone wishing to volunteer can contact beckythemom@hotmail.com for more information. No previous experience necessary. If you can surf the web and copy/cut/paste, then you
know enough to help with the website.
THANK YOU
Thanks to Charlie Stanford, for volunteering
to be our 2005/2006 Webelos (grades 4 & 5) Scout Leader.
Thanks to Cubmaster Jimmy Muth for volunteering
to be our 2005/2006 Bear (grade 3) Scout Leader.
Leaders still needed for the 2005-2006 year: Tiger
(grade 1), Wolf (grade 2). The leader magazine that comes in the mail has all the activities planned by monthly theme
and can be used as is, or edited to suit the needs of the den/pack. Anyone wishing to help can contact beckythemom@hotmail.com. (A side note, most leaders from last year moved up with their children to the next level of Scouting. Each year
we put out a cry for leaders but there is always a back-up plan in place in case no one volunteers.)
UPCOMING DISTRICT

or Lucinda Lentz at 540-667-4464.

Here's a picture of Pack 96 meeting together as a family as the boys received new recognitions. The indoor "campfire"
was very nice.
